Chiredzi- Over 300 families in Ward 32, Chiredzi Rural District Council, under Councillor Aspect Mashingaidze, are set to get piped water to their homesteads, following a recent procurement of solar water equipment by their leader.

The equipment, already delivered by the supplier is awaiting installation. It is valued at US$7000-00.
The intended provision of piped water will end years of villagers having to share the same water sources with donkeys, cattle, goats, dogs and wild animals.
Councillor Mashingaidze told this publication that had it not been for the lock down, the job could have been finished by now.
This includes the construction of Rusunununguko Clinic, a Police Base and a Community centre at Fair Range.
The same are almost complete and the Councillor promised that all the projects at Fair Range will be finished by Mid Year.
Minister for Masvingo Provincial Affairs Ezra Chadzamira thumped up the project during his recent visit at the clinic.
A total of two more clinics and two Secondary Schools are at an advanced stage at Magumire, Fair Range, Nyavasiksna and Chipimbi.
“For the other projects, we coulf not complete in time due to the recent lockdown and rainy season but we are working towards finishing school toilets by the end of this week.” said Mr Mashingaidze.
“At first we consulted with the community and established 2 secondary, 2 clinics, a community centre and a police base but for now we are almost completing one clinic (Rusununguko). We also have procured a solar system worth around US $7 000-00 which is waiting for installation.” he said.
An ecstatic villager commented on the projects.
“Most politicians are known to be good speakers and not actors but this is not what the Councilor is. We are very happy with the work that he is doing in our community.” Said Martin Rugare,of Chipimbi Village.
Patience Chauke of Magumire also weighed in.
“Our Councilor is the right man for the job, he is working so hard to fulfill his promises. We are happy about the developmental projects that he has introduced.” she said.
“The changes are evident, boreholes, clinics, schools and many projects. You don’t need a rocket scientist to tell you he is doing a lot.” said
John Chimera, a farmer from Nyavasikana village.
