Chikombedzi- Five people who were on their way to Samu open market are reportedly missing after a truck they were travelling in was swept away by the flooded Malibhangwe river near Samu in Chikombedzi.

Masvingo Provincial Police spokesperson Inspector Kudakwashe Dehwa said he was not in the office to confirm the news, promising to do so in the morning tomorrow.
The number of people on board could not be established at the time of publishing.
Privy sources however told Lowveld checkpoint that the Magondo lorry was travelling from Chiredzi heavily loaded with traders and various goods for trading.
The driver tried to cross the flooded river leading to the tragedy.
The incident happened early Monday morning (Today).
“Unfortunately I have not received the report yet and I am out of office but I will make a follow up on the incident tomorrow morning” said Inspector Dehwa.
