Chikombedzi -Two of the five missing people of the recent tragic of the truck that was swept away, have just been retrieved dead from Malibhangwe river according to the police, barely two days after the tragic.

Today (Wednesday), the National spokesperson of the Zimbabwe Republic Police, Assistant Commissioner, Paul Nyathi said they can not disclose the names of the two bodies retrieved until they have contacted their next of kins but they are continuing the search.
“So far 2 bodies have been retrieved but we can not disclose the names until we have notified their next of kins but the search continues.” Nyathi said.
He also went on to urge motorists to desist from crossing flooded rivers as this endangers human lives.
“We as the police, always warn drivers to desist from crossing flooded rivers as this puts the lives of people in less danger.” Nyathi said.
Privy sources told this publication that the loaded 8 tonne AVM truck, which was driven by Josphat Kwenda (42) got stuck in the mud in the early hours of Monday morning and the passengers disembarked to help with a push.
Before they could escape the danger, the water level rose due to the heavy rains and swept away the truck which had 12 people aboard, while 5 people could not make it offshore.
The search for the 3 missing victims is still in progress and more details to follow.
