Chiredzi – A 37 year old man Kudakwashe Ezimoni who is of no fixed aboard is in custody for allegedly breaking into a motor vehicle belonging to Chiredzi businessman John Chena on 16 June 2021.

The robber, together with his accomplice who is still at large, approached the vehicle that was parked outside Labamba Night Club, John Chena’s business premise, smashed the front window and gained entry into the car.
They got away with 5 packets of Hello chips, 3× 6 Nivea body lotions, 40 shaving sticks, 50 tooth brushes, 1 weave, and 1 Firestone spare wheel.
They also pocketed USD$3140-00 that was hidden in the car and went away unnoticed.
Chena came out of his office at around 2100 hours, only to discover that his car was broken into. He immediately made a police report.
Ezimoni was arrested at a Shabeen in Chiredzi. Only 10 tooth brushes and Rtgs$1000 were recover.
During his pre-trial recording at Chiredzi Magistrate Court on Monday, the accused partially pleaded.
“I only took the grocery and not the money”Ezimoni told the Court.
