Self-styled Chiredzi ‘mbinga’ Boss Matande, real name Alone Matande, was on Friday, issued with a Warrant of Arrest after he failed to turn up for trial.
He had spent a week in custody at Buffalo Range prison, after he was arrested for breaching the Cyber law two weeks ago.
The magistrate, Vimbai Mutukwa granted him zwl $10 000 bail last Friday.
He was being represented by Muzenda and Chitsama law firm, who were dump founded at the court, as their client failed to pitch up for the trial that was supposed to kickstart yesterday.
Matande is suspected to have skipped the country. If convicted on the matter, he will likely serve a maximum sentence of 5 years behind the bars.
His case sterms from allegations that he used the social media to black mail some politicians by insuating that they are satanists.
He also used the same media platforms to threaten other people.
According to the Cyber and Data Protection Act, it is an offence to do what Matande did.
