The new innovation involved upgrading of their equipment to be able to create Computer-generated imagery films.
This involves a computer graphics application that is used to create or contribute to images and visual effects in films, television programs, shorts, commercials and videos.
The post production technique can be used to create frame images which cannot be captured in a single live camera shot because of physical or financial limitations.
The famous film company hit the chats with their first action superhero movie called John Christian, that pulled over 500 viewers on youtube in a short space of time.
Founder of the film company, Boanerges Chokuda, said the CGI equipment is ready and can be accessed by any artist in Chiredzi, creating opportunities for the youth during the new normal.
Auditions for an upcoming short movie called Light race life which will be out on 27 May this year, will be done on WhatsApp platform.
“As we are speaking, we are working on a CGI vfx live action short film called ‘Light race life’, which will be out on 27 May.” said Chokuda.
Lowveld Arts and Culture Association (LACA) coordinator, Frank Makoho said he welcomes the idea, as it changes the dynamics of the arts industry and also a good way to counter the spread of Covid-19, as well as taking off the financial burden on artists.
“This is a brilliant idea as it changes the rules of the game. It doesn’t necessarily need you to be on the ground and thereby maintaining the WHO regulations, at the same time reducing the cost of production.” said Makoho.
The founder of Inkorototo Entertainment, who also figured on the national television ZBC playing a role in Dziva ne Hova, Marshall Mutinhima added that it is the right step for the arts industry, since it is the trend nowadays.
“If you look at the most selling movies like the Avengers, it’s actually a step in the right direction considering the trends and the future.” said Mutinhima.
BGE movies started its operations in 2017, and scaled the heights in the docile arts industry.

The entertainment company is also working on a number of musical videos, scheduling their first CGI music video for early April this year. The video, a gospel song, is called Helicopter.
The technique has grown popular over the years since it’s introduction on a film called Star Wars in 1977, and has worked out successfully for most film producers such a Marvel Cinematic Universe,(MCU), which pocketed over US $2 billion from their movie, Avengers- Infinity War in 2018.
