CHIREDZI-Joy Masimba Chikodzero, Chiredzi’s Resident Magistrate is back at work after a one week sabbatical.

The magistrate collapsed from her chair in court while presiding over a criminal case at Marinda Court on Friday last week.
She was rushed to PSMAS private clinic where she was treated and discharged . Officials at the clinic refused to reveal her ailment, arguing that they can not reveal their client’s health conditions to the press.
“Yes she was here on Friday last week but I can not tell you any thing more than this because we don’t share our clients’ health conditions with the public” said the doctor who also refused to be named.
Lowveld Checkpoint understands that the Magistrate is in a frosty relationship with her subordinates after she reported two of her staff to Police over a car battery that went missing from her office early this year.
The two were picked up by Police for interrogation and the matter is still pending.
