Barely two months after the Zimbabwe Anti Corruption Commission opned a Sub Office in Masvingo,the first conviction was made on the Masvingo Municipality Prepaid clerk ,Stanley Muzenda on Friday.
Muzenda arrested and arraigne before the court for misappropriating State funds amounting to RTGS 1 3550 56 and USD130.56.
He was charged and convicted for contravening Chapter 174 of the Commission’s Act.
Muzenda appeared before a Masvingo Magistrate who sentenced him to 15 months imprisonment of which 4 months were suspended for five years on condition that accused does not commit a similar offence involving dishonest.
